Rain didn't stop play at the biggest every Surrey Science Festival!

On Wednesday 22 June 2011 SATRO were once again hard at work running the Surrey Festival of Science. This year we were delighted to welcome HRH Duke of Kent to view the fantastic range of exhibits by young people from across Surrey and SE.

The Duke said 'Organisations such as SATRO that deliver year on year programmes that inspire young people to create the wonderful projects that you see today'.

Over 40 companies from all areas of science and technology exhibited in the CBSbutler Working World Marquee, with a further 100 employers attending the Business Breakfast event.

In the Procter & Gamble Schools exhibition there were all manner of wonderful projects on show from water rockets to furniture. Dr Beccy Bowden, CEO Surrey SATRO, said: 'the standard of the work displayed by the students was amazing, and their confidence and ability to explain their work to our VIP visitors was hugely impressive'.
